Stockholm Visits Lübeck: Hüxstraße Invites Visitors to Experience, Discover and Join In
On July 4, Hüxstraße will once again transform into a vibrant festival street, this year under the theme “Stockholm Visits Lübeck.” A diverse program and live music on five stages will bring Scandinavian flair to Lübeck’s most beautiful shopping street.
Visitors can look forward to a colorful program that combines Stockholm’s relaxed lifestyle with the unique charm of this historic shopping street. In addition to live music, Swedish specialties, and special promotions from local businesses, this year’s festival focuses on the themes of experience, discovery, and participation. Many activities are specifically designed for families and children, turning the entire street into an interactive experience.

A key highlight of the festival is its extensive live music program. Artists, bands, and DJs will create a lively summer atmosphere throughout Hüxstraße:

- Michaelsen Scandinavian Living – A large play area for children and families centered around the Swedish tradition of “Fika”
- KranzGenau – Create your own flower crowns and dream sachets
- Lilly Belle – Cinnamon buns, summer punch, and small Midsummer-themed activities
- VHS Lübeck – Midsummar yoga, Swedish participatory dancing, a creative troll workshop, watercolor painting, and Swedish poetry
In addition, many other shops will invite visitors to explore and linger with competitions, tastings, special promotions, and Swedish-inspired activities.

From cinnamon buns and summer punch to flower crowns, fika, and music ranging from ABBA to Avicii, the Hüxstraße Festival brings a piece of Sweden to Lübeck. At the same time, it once again showcases what makes Hüxstraße so special: independent businesses, personal commitment, and a vibrant community working together to create a celebration for the entire city.
The festival begins at 11:00 a.m. and offers a varied program for the whole family throughout the day and into the evening.
