At its spring general meeting, the Hüxstrasse Interest Group unanimously elected Dirk Schmidt as its new spokesperson. Guided by the motto “Together for Everyone,” he wants to future-proof this historic shopping street—with more than 120 independently owned shops, studios, workshops and cafés—through a forward-looking programme of action.
Dirk Schmidt’s priorities are open communication, mutual support among members and fresh impulses that keep Hüxstrasse a vibrant magnet for locals and visitors alike. The street thrives on cooperation, diversity and personal encounters—exactly what he intends to cultivate.
The assembly also expressed warm thanks to his predecessor, former spokesperson Andreas Pahlke, for many years of dedicated service to Hüxstrasse’s development.
